How limits work
- Photo scans and recipe searches are counted separately.
- Each photo in a scan counts as 1 scan, and you can add up to 5 photos to a scan.
- A recipe search only counts when it returns recipes.
- Your counts reset on the 1st of each month.
- Barcode scans never use your photo scans.
Every recipe search returns 3 recipes from the AI recipe generator, written for the food in your pantry. When you cook one and tap I Cooked This, the app logs the money and CO2e you saved; read how we calculate money and CO2e saved.
Plan questions
Do I need to pay to try it?
No. The free plan gives you 10 photo scans, 10 recipe searches and 3 AI dish photos a month, and there's no sign-up.
When do my uses reset?
On the 1st of each month, when your photo scan and recipe search counts start again.
How do I cancel?
Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, so you cancel in your store account: see Apple's guide to cancelling a subscription or Google's guide to cancelling a Google Play subscription. Deleting the app or your PantryAI account doesn't cancel it.
Do I need an account to subscribe?
No. PantryAI works without sign-up. An account is optional and backs up your pantry so it syncs across your devices.
